Comfort for Moms

Every morning at breakfast I read a devotional in my Bible that directly speaks to moms. I look forward to that every morning, even if it is usually interrupted by requests for more cereal. Yesterday's message brought such comfort to me. It is taken from Isaiah and says, "He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries sthem close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young." Isaiah 40:11
What good news it is to know that God cares for moms!

It is not always easy being a mom. Sometimes there is great pain and suffering. But I believe God is teaching us through the trials. Another passage from Isaiah that is on my calendar for today says, "I have refined you though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction." Isaiah 48:10
